HKIA's Capacity to Increase by 50% from 2035

According to the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Li Jiachao, in his 2024 Policy Address delivered at the Complex of the Legislative Council of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region on October 16, the Airport Authority of Hong Kong will complete the construction of the three-runway system this year. Hong Kong International Airport's handling capacity will increase by 50% from 2035.

Hong Kong Air Cargo launches “Hong Kong⇌Birmingham” international cargo route.

On October 8, Hong Kong Air Cargo launched a new international freight route between Hong Kong and Birmingham. The route is operated by an Airbus A330-200 full freighter, with one round trip per week. This is the second British route opened by the airline after the London route was launched in February.

Increased traffic through the Central Corridor of the China-Europe freight train

During the first three quarters of this year, the number of China-Europe freight trains passing through the Central Corridor (Erlianhot Railway Port) reached 2,615, with a year-on-year growth of 8.4%.
